Walking around the corner, into view was none other than Supergirl. But just like Dennis wanted, she was in her civilian clothes. For Dennis had thought about the silver age/bronze age Supergirl. The one who was attending college. A 19 year old Linda Lee Danvers. With a dark wig and fake glasses she looked just like any college girl book worm. Nearing the table, Linda smiled and waved at Dennis. He smiled back and returned the wave. When he took the picture he had made sure that Linda was a close friend and the only one at college who knew she was really Supergirl.
He had no idea of the other events that would now play out with this single picture however. The brunt of the DC universe was now melding with this reality, mixing Silver Age and Modern Age themes from Dennis’s thoughts.
Linda walked up to the table and Dennis got up.
“Linda! Nice to see you. How are you doing?”
Linda furrowed her brow. “Not that well. Can we talk. Somewhere private.”
Dennis turned toward Wendy. “I’m sorry Wendy. Linda and I had planned to meet here. Can we catch up some other time?”
Wendy, realizing that she had given Dennis no previous warning, nodded her head and smiled. “Sure Dennis. I’ll catch up with you later.”
Wendy walked away and Dennis turned back toward Linda. “So what’s the problem?” Dennis had to hold in a smile. He knew exactly what the problem was. He had created it to start this little fantasy come to life. But he wanted to see how it played out now that he had set the events in motion.
Linda bit her lower lip. “Follow me. We need to talk somewhere else.”
Dennis nodded his head and followed her away from the crowd and toward what looked like a shed used to store lawn equipment. Only it was not what it appeared to be. Linda stepped up to a hidden scanner and with a metallic click, the door opened. They both stepped inside and the door closed behind them. The entire room then descended down a few hundred feet below and the door opened up to Supergirl’s mini version of her cousin’s Fortress of Solitude. More precisely, it was closer to Batman’s cave set up for the purpose of monitoring activities around the area and also call into the various Leagues that Supergirl aligned herself to on occasion.
Once they were in the main room Linda quickly became Supergirl, causing Dennis to gasp. The outfit she had on was the mix he had been dreaming about. She stood at 5 foot 9 and had on the standard calf high red boots with the gold trim. The red skirt was definitely a mini with blue tights below. The midriff was bare and her stomach sported a nice fitness level six pack. Her thick crop top was a mirror of Superman’s, blue with the red and gold S, only it covered her upper body up just passed her shoulders, exposing arms that looked quite normal, but could flex up a small bicep under stress. Her breasts were full, but right sized for her body. The red cape behind her seemed to flap around even without a breeze. Her facial beauty was as stunning as he had imagined, with her long blonde hair, piercing blue eyes and overall Nordic features. How she could hide all this with her Linda cover was amazing, but knowing how things worked with comic books, it shouldn’t have been all that surprising.
Looking a bit relieved for the moment, Supergirl smiled at the open jawed Dennis.
“I always feel much better getting into the super outfit. And you seem to like it too.”
Dennis let out a deep sigh and then returned her smile. “So what’s the problem?”
Supergirl let out her own sigh. “It’s Superman. He still treats me like a little girl. He’s blocking my admission to the Justice League because he says I’m not ready.”
She grunted angrily. “Not ready? Who is he kidding? I’ve been doing this hero thing for years. I’ve trained with the Amazons. I’ve got the strength of a Krytonian!”
Dennis nodded. “A GIRL Krytonian?”
Supergirl scowled and her eyes turned red. “What did you say?”
Dennis pushed his arms out. Good grief, this fantasy would be no good if she fried him. “No, no! I meant, that’s what HE thinks. He’s the big bad powerful Superman with all the muscles and strength. You’re just the little girl.”
Supergirl turned in huff and smacked her fist into her hand with a boom that shook the room. Dennis had to reach out to the wall for support. “Careful, Kara, you wouldn’t want to give away this location.”
Supergirl turned back to face him, ignoring his comment. “So is that what you think too? Is that what EVERYBODY thinks?”
Dennis looked at her carefully. “Of course that’s not what I think. I’ve seen you in action. You’re awesome. But I suppose the press does look at you a bit different than Superman.”
Looking down at the ground in thought, she crinkled her nose and looked up with a frustrated look. “Then what am I supposed to do about it?”
Dennis now smiled. He had some ideas. Several in fact. Looking over at a door labeled red room he thought of one. That was the room they went to be intimate. The red sun lamps made her as normal as Linda Lee would be with Supergirl’s smoking hot body. What if she lifted weights in there? Could that translate to proportion strength increases back in the yellow sun-light? It may take a few weeks, but even under the red sun, her Krytonian genes allowed for super human regenerative abilities, so weeks would be years for anyone else. Or there was the direct approach. Head to Superman’s fortress and use his super weights to work out at super speed, building up her muscles in no time. Of course the camera could make it much quicker too.
Reaching out, he put his hand on her shoulder and she reached up to gently touch his hand. Dennis looked in her troubled eyes. “So how would you like to prove them all wrong by building up your body.”
Smiling weakly, she bit her lip nervously. “You mean like Powergirl?”
Dennis smiled. “Oh, much more than that. What if you could have bigger muscles and greater strength that Superman.”
She smiled back with excitement in her eyes. “You think I could really do that?”
Dennis nodded his head gently. “Sure. And this is how we can do it.”
And his excitement grew at the next thought. "Then you can show Superman who the real super one is!"
