Yasmine declines

"Oh, sorry, I can't," Yasmine says. "I promised my friend I'd come to her birthday party tonight." She gives an apologetic smile. "Maybe next time, though."

Hannah feels relieved, for some odd reason. There was no reason for her to dislike Yasmine, so why was she so relieved to have her go?

"That's okay," Luis says. He smiles too. "Maybe next time."

Yasmine said bye and walked away, leaving an emotionless Luis and a generally happy Hannah behind. The only part Hannah didn't like was "Maybe next time." That, she did not feel too good about.
