Just after Sonic stopped touching the hologram of the Master Emerald, a huge cage popped up around all of them.
"Damn it!" Sonic shouted.
"Who is it THIS time?" Amy groaned.
"It's probably just Eggman again," Tails replied. "Usually he'll have showed up and started monologing by now. Doesn't matter, I've got a little trick up my sleeve. Tornado Z, access code 936!"
The plane flew to the cage and hovered above it.
"Sweet!" Sonic said. "How good of hearing does that thing have?"
"It doesn't! I implanted a nanochip in my throat that transmits a wireless signal which is picked up by the-"
"Can you just get us out of here already?!" Amy yelled.
"Okay, okay! Excuse me for being proud of my creations! Tornado Z, access code 936, free us!"
As soon as Tails finished talking the Tornado Z shot a laser towards a few of the bars and carved a hole in it. The trio got back in the Tornado for safety and tried to decide what to do next.
"Why not start with Eggman? He's usually the one responsible for these things!" said Amy.
"But do you really think that Knuckles couldn't protect the Emerald from him? It must've been someone else." Tails said. "Lemme see if the Tornado can pick up any clues." He punched a few buttons and the Tornado scanned the ground. A few seconds later it dinged and showed the results on a computer screen. "Let's see here... Red echidna fur, normal. white bat fur, Rouge!"
"What else?" Amy said and leaned her head up against Sonic.
