Chapter #6

You live out your mother's life for the next month

    by: Unknown
You could get into a lot of trouble if you tried to get your body back. You decided to play it safe rather than sorry and continued to live with the baby. The next month went by rather slowly. Mom stayed at home and cleaned most of the time, never really pursuing a career. So, you were left at home for most of the time. Your daily chores included making three meals for your dad, sister, and mom, as well as cleaning up around the house. Your mother had acclimated quite well into your body. Your grades in school had improved and she had mended your relationship with your sister. You, on the other hand were struggling.

The first few days were nightmares as you had no idea what you were doing. Cooking was extremely difficult without recipes to follow and you were constantly burning some of the food. After a week of practicing, you were finally able to prepare halfway decent food, but it was not the same caliber that your mom had cooked before. How did Mom do this so well? It seemed impossible to remember how to prepare all this food even without your new belly. Cleaning was almost as bad as cooking. Even though you didn't have much to do everyday, your belly made everything take three times as long. These two things combined with your new body's daily maintenance made this the most stressful month of your life. The worst part about it was that nobody in your family would offer to help you with anything; your mom even teased you about stuff if it wasn't done.

At last the month was finally over and you could feel that the baby was ready to come out any day now. At last, you could get out of mom's body and back into your own. After dinner one night, you called your mom over to talk to in private.

"Hey mom," you said to her, "the baby is due any day now. Do you think that we can switch back now? I lived out your life for a month but I don't think I can go through childbirth."

She took in a deep breath before replying to you. "Kyle, I said you needed to take my body for the rest of the pregnancy, and it isn't over." You looked at her shocked and started to tear up a little.

"Mom, I just don't think it's fair that I have to give birth in your body. I gave you a chance to be young for a month, to get some of this weight of you for a while. Meanwhile, you have been constantly criticizing me about everything I do," you replied in a motherly tone.

"It is for the best. I'm doing this to teach you a lesson. You need to learn to respect the hardships of other people," she replied.

"But Mom..." you started.

"No Kyle," she stated firmly. "You will be delivering this baby, and that is the end of that."

In this highly emotional situation, you could feel something strange inside you. Standing there for a minute, you realized that it was

You have the following choices:
