The next day Connor announced that our cabin, the Hermes cabin( I don't know why they use Greek god and goddess's names to name the cabins) will go against the Poseidon's cabin which is Percy's cabin in capture the flag.
On the day for the duel, we went into the woods. Percy's cabin has three people, Percy and Tyson( a HUGE guy) and a guy named Joe who was borned in 1897, but he was trapped in Lotus Hotel and Casino. But they were allied with Apollo's cabin and Athena's cabin( which was Annabeth's cabin). We had the rest of the cabins on our side. They were Ares, Demeter, Hephaestus, Aphrodite( which had girlie boys and girls), and Dionysus, also the cabin that they call the new cabin, Hades.
Chiron, our activities director who likes to dress up as a centaur, announced:" Heroes! You know the rules, no killing and maiming, and Hermes's cabin will be in the West wood, and Poseidon's cabin on the East."
A girl called( I think) Clarisse, who is the leader of the Ares cabin( all tough looking guys and girls) whispered to me:" Hey new kid, you don't like Jackson, right?"
I asked:" How did you know?"
She snickered:" I heard that Connor challenged them for you."
I agreed:" Yeah, he's a total jerk."
She laughed:" That, you got it right."
Then a guy called( I think, again) Nico, the only kid in the Hades cabin, came over and asked me:" Hey! Lyner right?" I nodded, and he continued on" What position will you be in?"
That question made me shut down, I don't know.
Nico eyed me for a while and asked:" Do you want to be on the offense or defense?"
