Dread

"Should I tell Ted about that spell yesterday?" Felix wondered as a guard passed by once more. This one was staying close, eying the pair. Felix didn't dare glance at Ted as he pushed hard. "No I shouldn't."

"But he's your only friend!" a voice in his own head replied, "After all he's told you what he knows, he deserves to know what you know."

"But what if the reason I can do magic is I came from that world?" Felix thought back. With the guard gone on his way, Felix spoke quietly once more.

"Ted, could elves of this world learn her magic? Or fairies?" Felix asked.

"Fairies yes. But it would be really difficult for elves of either world to use fairy magic. The spells are worded differently and using magic is more than just saying the words," Ted said, "Why?"

"I was wondering what magic she may try on me," Felix replied, being half-honest as his mind filled with dread.

"Oh gods, what does this mean of me? Where did I come from and what am I?" Felix wondered when he realized he was done with the floor as Ted rose to his feet. Felix waited and rose soon after.

"It could have been a coincidence," Felix thought, smiling a little as he walked to the kitchen. "Yeah that's it, all a coincidence." He walked in and moved quietly behind the cook. He grabbed the meat and was halfway to the door when the cook noticed.

"Slave!" the cook yelled, but Felix gave him no other chance and bolted from that room, heading to the prison. As he approached, he saw fresh vomit on the floor.

"Damn fairy," the guard muttered as Felix saw a dribble down his chin. Felix gulped and entered.

Like the day before the fairy was dancing in a circle.

"Nothing could stop it as he went to vomit," giggled the fairy. As she came around she saw Felix once more and glared at him. "Evil human," the fairy said before taking a breath. Felix then did the one thing he could think of.

“Ethna Hepalu Calum" he said quickly. The fairy paused and looked at Felix.
