Pitch black, one-a-clock, and a ninetails roamed the forest. She had awoken to find one of her kits missing, and had gone off to find her. She blew out a small puff of fire to illuminate the area around her, finding small dusty footprints that had been sure of where they were going. Her tails flicked once as she was off onto the trail, dashing as fast as she could to follow her daughter. She jumped into the bushes where the footprints stopped and encountered a small pond. The paw prints led in, none led out. She walked around the pond, inspecting it to see if someone was in there. She blew out more fire so she could find her way, and then noticed something on the other side of the lake. More footprints, but these were larger, and still fresh.
Then ninetails was off again, following her daughter's captor.
