Unexpected bump in the plan?

Your mother is on the couch watching the news. Ashly giggles, probably thinking about how much fun this will be. She sneaks behind the couch and places you on the top part. You walk over to her head and start to grab her hair. She turns to look at you. She looks to be curious. She grabs you and tickles you. Both you and Ashley are a little confused. Ashley walks up and acts like nothing happened.
"Hey mom, how are you? Hey what do you have in your hand?" She asks.
"Oh it's a little bug. It's so cute and it's just what I need." Your mother says smiling. You are afraid of what that means.
"What do you need it for?" Mom looks at her and smiles.
"Our neighbor next door created something that can turn objects into different objects. For example, they were able to turn a chair into a pillow, and a jar into a TV. However, they want to try it on a living creature, and we shouldn't test it on a human yet. So they gave me their invention and told me test it out on something. I was just thinking about what to use, when this insect appeared."
"Oh wow! Can we test it right now?" Ashley said, apparently forgetting about you. Mom laughed.
"Of course, let's take it into the bedroom. All three of you went into her room. You saw a ray gun on her massive bed. You were set on the bed and mom pointed the gun at you. "First, let's turn it into . . . A pillow." The ray gun started to get bright.
