Kelos placed the amulet down where he thought he remembered picking it up from. This was his chance to undo months of being a girl. Sure he was warned about changing the past, but how could this be anything but a positive? He then looked around the room. Just why had he come here in the first place? The whole being transformed into a girl thing had overshadowed the rest of the day in Kelos' memories. Was he looking for something? Hiding? He just couldn't recall. Regardless, Orianna would be along shortly to find him in there, so whatever it was, he wouldn't have time to do it. On cue, the door opened, and his older sister stepped entered the room.
"Kelos? What are you doing in here? You know you aren't allowed in here!"
"I don't remember," Kelos admitted.
"You don't remember why you entered this forbidden storage room?" Orianna raised an eyebrow in disbelief.
At this point something occurred to Kelos, something he had not thought about the first time. Ori didn't expect to find him in there. "Why are you in here?"
"Me? I was... umm... Looking for you!" Orianna said as she looked at her younger brother with a worried look. Even if it had been the eight year old Kelos in control, he would have seen right through it.
"In the place I'm not allowed?" It was Kelos' turn to raise an eyebrow.
"But I found you here!" the princess exclaimed.
"And you were surprised! So why are you really here?"
"Fine..." Ori huffed. "I'm looking for something special. A bolt of cloth."
"Cloth? Can't the royal seamstress get you any cloth you want?"
"This is special! It's magic cloth! The legend goes a dress made from this cloth will make anyone who wears it into the prettiest girl in all the lands!"
Kelos looked at his sister skeptically. After all, if this cloth existed, surely he'd have remembered Orianna finding it. Besides it's not like she needed it. "Ori, you're already the prettiest girl in all the land." Kelos said dryly.
"Exactly! In the land. Not all the lands. I'm sure Cally would understand."
Kelos blushed at the mention of his feminine alter ego. "I get it. Cally would want to be prettier too. It's just, where did you even hear about this cloth?"
"In an old book I found in the library. It was given to Grovan by an elf who visited two hundred years ago. It was supposed to be used to make a wedding dress for the princess back then, but she didn't get married, so the cloth was never used."
"It sounds made up," Kelos replied.
"Well I believe it's real. So now that you know, please help me find it! I'll even let Cally wear the dress I make from it!"
"If it's magic, that might not be a good idea," Kelos replied. He had avoided becoming a girl, the last thing he wanted was for a magic dress to transform him into one anyway."
"I guess, but still I'll give you something if you help me."
