"Wait Arthras, I just had a thought and it concerns you." Kelos sounded urgent but when Arthras turned to look at him, the prince had a bit of a devious smile on his face that Arthras knew he should just ignore an walk away from, but his curiosity got the better of him. "What is it that you want Kelos, please be quick with it, I'd like to be gone within the hour."
"You won't have to or even want to once you hear my plan." Kelos' smile widened further, "My dear Arthras, I came here to marry into your family not because of the power of your kingdom, there are other more powerful ones I could marry into. But because of the beauty of your daughter, and I must say your beauty even surpasses hers."
"Enough with the flattery, get to your point."
"What I'm saying is that though I came to marry Fia. We would be wed, I would take her to Groven and live happily ever after until either my parents or yourself Arthras passed away giving me the possession of King that I so desire. However if I were to just marry the now beautiful Queen of Traeven then there is no need to wait. I become my father's equal. You stay in power without wearing the burden of the crown alone and also gain 20 youth. Fia can marry whoever she wants for whatever silly reasons she wants. And both of our kingdoms live in peace for now and ever more."
"But I am a man Kelos! This would not be accepted by the people or the court!"
"When the people of the world see you as you are now my beauty, they will accept you as quickly as I have...or else. Besides when we announce our royal wedding the people will rejoice. The common people love nothing more than a grand celebration to break of the monotony of their otherwise boring and meaningless lives."
Arthras had to admit Kelos's plan wasn't the worst he saw the reasoning behind it. However there was still the matter of fact the he did not want to marry a man, let alone Kelos who he didn't trust at all. This was all very overwhelming, 10 minutes ago he had been a man eater a feast with a potencial son in law and now he was a woman being proposed to by the same man.
Kelos chuckled to himself, "Let us waste no time, let's make it official." Kelos bent down on one knee and pulled out a ring that was no doubt originally intended for Fia. "Queen Arthras...no that's too crude a name for such beauty. Queen Ariana, will you marry me?"
