The king tells Marlin to deal with the chamberlain so that he can take to potion somewhere without getting disturbed.
Marlin does as told and guides the chamberlain to some other room and discusses something with him, while the king is left alone and can take the potion now:
The king is ready and grabs the first potion and swallows it down.
