When the light faded, black spots clouded your vision. You blinked several times trying to get it back, but that wasn't working to well. Other than your vision, you notice something is very wrong. Your body feels...wrong. Your head feels heavier, and your neck, its like its been stretched out. Also, your body is bulky and hard. It feels like you have something on your back. Your butt feels weird too; its almost like you have a tail. Your right arm and leg feel huge and powerful...Wait a second! you thought. I can't feel my left side. From the left side of your neck down, your feeling just disappears.
A little scared, you call out, "Jake, are you there?" Funny, you thought, Is my voice really that deep.
Directly to the left of you, Jake answers, "Y-yeah...I'm here...kind of...um...I think...we...might have a...slight problem with the costume."
Wow! you thought, When did Jake's voice crack? The spots in your vision finally faded, and you could see things clearly. You turn your head over toward your friend. You are more than shocked to see the cyan colored dragon head in his place. It moved and blinked. Its mouth opened as it breathed, allowing you to see a layer of dagger sharp teethe inside. The light bounced off its scales, making it look very impressive...and powerful. But, you could see...your friend through its eyes. The cyan dragon was your friend, and he had a very worried look on his face. "Jake..." you breathe. "What happened to you? Y-your the dragon from the costume!"
"Um...Zack...I think you mean we're the dragon from the costume." Jake timidly said. Jake motioned with his head toward the mirror, in front of you.
You gaze into the mirror; your eyes widen and your mouth drops. Instead of seeing your human head, you see the same red dragon from the costume. Only, the red dragon, or you, look so much more...dazzling than the costume. Even with the shocked look on your face. Once the shock wore off, you smiled at your reflection. You say in your head, Maybe this isn't so bad. Jake and I used to always imagine being dragons. Not having to go to school would be a plus. Finally it dawns on you. Wait a second, Jake said 'we're the dragon from the costume.' The dragon from the costume was...
Horrified upon the realization, you glance down at your body...or actually, yours and Jake's body. At the base of your neck, your two different colored scales collide. Directly to the left of your neck is Jake's neck. You slowly shift your gaze back to Jake. His face horrified face matches yours. Jake clears his throat, and then whispers, "Where did you get the costume?"
