Paige left the theatre, pulling a finger at the straps of her bra. It felt tight. Maybe it had shrunk in the wash, but she doubted it. Piper was very careful about clothes in the wash. She knew she'd gained weight but not how much. She'd have to check. No matter, she was heading home anyway. She pulled her jacket closed as it was cooler now. It wouldn't quite zip all the way up. No matter. She must have gained more than she thought. That must be it. That wouldn't explain why her baggy pyjamas felt a little less baggy, though. She couldn't have gained that much, could she?
She kind of pleased at the fact that she'd gained weight! Then she got in the house and felt so confident that she decided to weigh herself. Ah. 112lbs. A 17lbs gain. Wow. She'd gained that much? That was actually impressive. But she'd last weighed herself eight and a half days ago. That couldn't be right could it? 2lbs a day was pretty much impossible. And then she had a interesting thought. Sure, it was impossible. But she battled impossible evil every week. She did impossible things all the time. And,sure, it could be a Demon. But Demons weren't exactly known for their subtlety. If they wanted to hurt her, they'd hurt her. Why make her gain weight real fast? Could it be a blessing from the elders or something? Maybe it'd happened to one of their ancestors sometime, and they'd written about it in the Book.
After first putting on a looser shirt and forgoing a bra, she headed to the attic and consulted the Book Of Shadows. It'd be in here for sure.
And it was! The pages blurred in the wind as the book flicked right to a page about...
