Minato trudged wearily through the park at Sharugika road,far from any assistance from Soul Society.After his teammates had been slain and him being severely injured,there was no way he could get back to Soul Society without help."Oh,you know there is a way back to Soul Society.All you have to do is call out to me and give all that you are to...."said the voice in his head.
Minato ignored his zanpakuto,moving through the crowd wearily,his uniform tattered and torn at several places,blood creeping out fron several wounds,some requiring attention,and some not.If the humans could see him,they'd probably attempt to assist him and would probably get him to their hospital as soon as possible.But then again,being the ordinary humans they are,they wouldn't see him anyway.
Minato remembered the good times back when he was just a normal soul living in Soul Society.He had been terribly sick since way back then,but Shinji and Aya had always stood by his side,supporting him all the way.When they discovered they had potential as shinigami,they regretted leaving him to go for thier training,but had went nonetheless.When recently Minato was discovered to have spiritual potential,it had been the happiest moment of his life to be reunited with his friends.Now they were gone,and he was being plagued by black thoughts from his zanpakuto spirit.He could see Shinji now,urging him to lie down and rest."I can't Shinji-san,I'd die"thought Minato.
Then again,how painful would dying be?His former life was unknown to him,but his life in soul society was a constant battle against his sickness.How much would it hurt to just lie down now?All that it would take was to just close his eyes,lie down and rest...... .The entity within his head realized that he was slipping away and he knew that he could not let that happen,for he would die as well.It sighed,knowing that if it failed to rekindle it's master's survival instinct,that it would die as well.
Minato woke up in a strange dark place.Two hooded figures were helping him to the centre of the dark area,which was shrouded in a bright light.He looked into the faces of the hooded figures and realized that they were his friends.He smiled,knowing that he was going on to a better place.Suddenly,his friends were grabbed by a huge horned figure and crushed before his very eyes."NOOOOOOOOO!!!"screamed Minato.Not again,Never again!!!.He looked to the corpses of his friends,their lifeless heads(their bodies have been,ahem,crushed)staring blankly at him.
He looked to the horned figure with real hatred shining in his maroon eyes."You took everything away from me,again!!You demon"Minato screamed,looking at the huge entity with undisguised hatred."By letting go of your life,you have let me,your zanpakuto,into the world.I am free to do anything i want,and you cannot stop me"taunted the entity."No,I will not let that happen"Minato swore.Then,live Shirogaki Minato,Live......
Minato opened his eyes with a start.His body was still injured,but he somehow found the strength to use a kido spell to contact Soul society.He mentally thanked his zanpakuto,though begrudgingly,for helping him find the will to live.Somehow,he felt,his life was far from over...
