Her clothes are being burned.

Alexa finds that the door to the hallway is locked. There is another door that leads to the garden. She carefully opens it, and peeks outside. She sees a guy outside who is burning something. She knows him, it is Herbert Schachter, a large, rather clumsy bloke with glasses, the outsider of her class. Who invited that jerk? Alexa made quite often fun of him, teasing him like the others. Now he turns around and grins at her, while he points to the burning pile. As he gets closer, Alexa sees what he is burning. All her clothes are burnt.
"What?! Hell, you idiot, what do you think you're doing?" she yells at him.
"Just wait and see." He has reached the door.
