At lunch, I walked up to Jake. Through the last period, I was thinking and decided to tell him that I had superpowers. Still, I had to be cautious. He could tell anyone. He was just like that.
"Um, Jake." I began, sitting next to him at the lunch table. He nodded which indicated he was listening. His mouth was stuffed with a turkey sandwich. "Can I tell you a secret."
That excited Jake and he quickly swallowed the sandwich. He mumbled a 'yeah' in the process. He was grinning widely. I thought of what I should say. It was hard to think though, hearing everyone else's, too.
"You can't tell ANYONE!" I said with emphasis. He agreed, still smiling. I listened to his thoughts and saw he was telling the truth."Alright... I have su-."
The person who interrupted me was my other friend, Kati. That wasn't her real name, which was Kathleen, but she liked this name better. She shoved me deeper into the seat and sat next to me.
"As you were saying." Kati grinned.
