Not seeing any way out of this mess, I stood in despair watching the spikes move closer and closer.
Soon, they got so close that I had to dodge in between them and almost get stabbed. Then, thankfully, the wall stopped, and there was a loud grating sound coming from above me.
"Thank goodness I came in time!" a voice hollered from the light, now pouring into the room, "Here, I opened a hatch to get out of here! You can climb up the spikes, only the tips will hurt you."
I climbed up the spikes, and found a hole in the ceiling where it looked like a chunk got ripped out of it. "How did you do this?" I asked amazed, "I didn't see this before!"
"Just broke through it, I thought you would know." The voice said right above me. I looked up, but couldn't make out the persons face, due to the glare of the light in my eyes. "The names Patrick, whats yours?" He then asked.
"To tell you the truth, I can't remember." I told him, bewildered.
"Oh, well, it doesn't matter, climb out and follow me." Patrick told me while walking away.
I got out of the hole, and looked around. We were on the roof of a tall building in the middle of a city. "What should I do next? Follow him, or run away?" I thought.
