Several hours and many many apologies later Raven and Starfire sat silently at the table in the main meeting room of the tower as Starfire uneasily sipped a cup of tea with Raven across the table from her very sheepishly looking down at her own cup. Behind her Jinx leaned against the wall still scowling at Raven.
Raven sighed heavily again and looked up at her friend eyes full of regret "Starfire.... really I never meant for any of this.., I-I'm so-"
"Sorry! Sorry sorry sorry" Jinx mocked " You're just so sorry!" Jinx thrust herself away from the wall with her shoulder and marched over to Raven to look her in the eyes "But you've said it to Starfire about a hundred times and not once to me!" Jinx pushed in closer to Raven so she couldn't look away "I know Starfire is shaken up but I got dragged into this too you know and almost kidnapped by a demon that you summoned!" Jinx growled.
Raven's expression shifted from remorse to pain as she and Jinx locked eyes. Raven tried not to let herself get too emotional but despite her normally impressive composure she couldn't fight back tears beginning to well up. Jinx turned disgusted as Raven tried not to let out a sob.
"Oh god here comes the waterworks!" Jinx threw up her hands "You can cry but you still can't say a damn thing about what a major fuck up that was up there, nothing but sorry sorry sorry to Starfire" Starfire who normally would have come to Raven's defense was still trembling too much to say a word. "Well if that's all you can do I'm leaving!" Jinx sneered and spun around towards the door "Later Pan-dor-ah!"
"No!" Raven managed to call out wiping away the tears "You can't leave" She followed through as her voice cracked and broke still emotional.
"And why not?!" Jinx got indigent looking back to Raven angrily
"Because he knows our names now" Raven's gaze returned to her cup of untouched tea. Raven's voice went lower and she sighed "I need to be sure he can't make contact with us again and use our names to manipulate us.... so please, stay for a few days while I sort this out and repair what's been-"
"No!" Jinx hissed and pointed a finger accusing at Raven "You've done enough already!" Jinx stomped heavily back towards the blue haired girl "If that demon tries anything I'll take him on myself! I don't need any more help from you!"
"But I..." Raven tried to explain
"Shut up!" Jinx scolded "I've had it with you and your damn emo bullshit! I'm gone!" She stamped a foot once more and started to leave again
"Please" Starfire suddenly spoke up causing Raven and Jinx to look at her in surprise "Please just stay..." Starfire continued her voice was soft not able to speak without a uneasy tone about it "Let Raven take care of the demon's threat that looms over our heads"
"Starfire..." Raven looked to her friend with a redeemed enthusiasm "Thank you" Raven smiled knowing Starfire still trusted her
"Tsk.... fine" Jinx spat "But only because you're asking me to!" Jinx reluctantly agreed.
Raven thought for a while longer in silence before speaking to her firends again "If you two would like...."
