It started out as an ordinary morning at Titans Tower. As usual Starfire woke up early and opened to curtains to see the beautiful morning sky. The others were still asleep except for Robin who was outside training. Starfire saw Robin outside and couldn’t help but admire him as he practiced his battle moves. However his training was interrupt as a strange device appeared behind Robin as he was training. It was small and shaped similar to the traditional UFO with bright glowing buttons, but had a small screen near the top. Starfire recognized the contraption and hurried to the front door. It didn’t take long for Robin to notice this strange device and as it got closer he began to pull out his trademark explosive discs.
Before he could throw his weapons at the machine Starfire flew in front of him and said “Wait Robin! This is not an enemy or a weapon.” Robin put his discs away and asked “Okay… if it’s not a weapon, then what is it?” Starfire stepped towards the machine and said “This is a Zorbnoll, a device we Tamaraneans use to communicate long distances between planets. Someone from my home must want to communicate with me.” Then Starfire pushed a button underneath the Zorbnoll and the screen near the top activated. The Screen displayed the face of Starfire’s k'norfka, Galfore (he was Starfire’s guardian, but is now ruler of Tamaran). The recorded message of Galfore began to speak. “Young Starfire, it is time for the Feast of Famora. The Famora trees are finally in bloom and have the legendary Famora fruit. I knew you would not want to miss such an event. I would like to honor you at the feast for defeating Blackfire and crowning me grand ruler. I hope to you will join us!” soon the screen turned off. Then the Zorbnoll began to hover and flew even higher and eventually blasted off towards Tamaran.
“Starfire, what’s this big feast he’s talking about, and what do those trees he mentioned have to do with it?” asked Robin who never really understands the customs Starfire’s planet. “It is a glorious celebration on Tamaran and a rare celebration at that. Tamaran is home to the Famora trees. They are gigantic trees that can grow to be as tall as our tower. The Famora trees are well known for there size, but they are more known for their delicious fruit. According to the legends each of the fruits has a succulent taste that can’t be described. Unfortunately, the trees only bloom once a millennium so the fruit is extremely rare. When the trees do bloom, the fruit falls from the trees like rain and then we all have a fantastic feast to enjoy this fruit. Please Robin, may I go and celebrate with my fellow Tamaraneans?” Robin quickly answered and said “Sure Star, but try to hurry back.” Starfire was so excited to be able to go back to her home planter and try the legendary fruit for the first time and only time in her life, she let out a scream that the whole city could hear! “Thank you Robin, Thank you! Would you and the other like to join me at the feast?”
