You see that Cora's hand is fast approaching the sandwich plate that you're on. You don't have much time to think and have to just react. Your reaction is to jump and pull yourself onto the sandwich in front of you. You see her hand getting within inches of grabbing the sandwich. You figure now is better than ever to get her attention.
You yell up to Cora "CORA! HEY! I'M RIGHT HERE!" but at your size, she doesn't hear you. She actually looks away as you are yelling and grabs ahold of the sandwich without looking. Her fingers pinched down a few inches (or a number of yards to you) away from where you are standing. The sandwich is jerked up at a fast rate as she walks across the room.
You lose your balance a bit and fall forward onto your knees. Cora is actually carrying the sandwich in one hand and the plate full of food in the other. You take a few wobbly steps in an attempt to reach her hand, but as you near it you lose balance again. She sets the plate down on her lap as she sits down on the couch between your Mom and Beth.
The girls continue their chit-chat between one another, unaware that you are so close by. As Cora sits down, she also drops the sandwich onto her plate of food. This sudden jarring causes you to....
