Hinata looked down at the wreckage of the Hyuuga compound, lamenting the loss of her childhood mementos within her room. As she scanned the wreckage with inexplicably enhanced vision which allowed her to see things on the ground as though she were her original height, she saw her first stuffed animal. She daintily picked it up and stared at it, remembering back before the ninja academy, when she used to hold it to her face before she fell asleep. She moved her hand closer to her face, and suddenly found her cheek pressing against plush. Hinata opened her eyes to see the toy at proportionally the same size as before her growth spurt!
This, of course, prompted the Hyuuga heiress to do some experimentation. She first picked up something else and grew it, and then grew something that she could only see. Finally, she closed her eyes and focused on growing her father's dress kimono, or what was left of it. Sure enough, the ragged cloth expanded. Then, Hinata tried growing herself! It worked, but a little too well. Her growing feet pushed aside dirt like a bulldozer, coating the nearby buildings in dust and inciting panic.
"Ah! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!" Hinata frantically tried to shrink herself, but nothing happened. She experimented with growing her toy back into proportion with her, and found that she still had the power. Apparently, though, her power only grew things. Once they were expanded, she couldn't shrink them back down.
