On the computer in your room, the neon-flashing text box appears: Tutorial!!!. Feeling rather impatient at the moment, you are in no way interested in reading a lengthy piece of startup material. In fact, the website itself seemed rather... off. There were no advertisements, no publisher information, no toolbars at the top except for the Tutorial, SwapMe logo, and the URL.
You yawned, listening to the soft hum of the computer. Through the blinds of the window next to you, there are a few kids playing basketball on a driveway adjacent to your house, as well as a young couple walking with their dog. The afternoon sun was already preparing its descent into the horizon. All seemed right with the world... except for that piece of paper.
That piece of paper. You found it in that dusty box, in the attic. It looked like it hadn't been touched for years... just laying there. Could it have been there before your family moved in? You shake off that thought; a website link from the past seemed too anachronistic to get carried away with.
Yet... the handwriting on the paper looked like a carbon-copy of Dad's writing. It was hard to place your finger on exactly what made it seem familar. The letters melded together like cursive, but it was written in print-- just like Dad's sloppy writing style. The paper, ripped from a lined notebook, was partially-yellowed with age. Indeed, all that was written was "SwapMe.com-- I could swap any physical trait I wanted. Now it's your turn."
A rapping of knuckles sounded against your bedroom door.
"Sean, Mom wants you down here now." Taylor shouted through the door. "You have to finish writing your thank-you cards."
"Okay sis, be down in a minute." You stuff the paper into your pocket and leave the box next to the computer, along with the website left on....
