"Keire guard the prisoner until we get back, understood?" Asked the rat leader. "Yes sir guard the prisoner until you and the rest of the team return." Responded Keire smartly. "Good, oh and if she escapes I'll have Azala cook you for vittles!" Yelled the leader as he and the rest of the band wanderd off to do whatever the leader had cooked up during the night. This finale remark made Keire wonder why he had ever joined the band, he had been happy enough roaming around the north coast but then again the thought of plunder and warfare had excited the rat to no end so here he was, guarding a young bushtail. As the hours passed the rat began to become restless he had expected his leader to return in an hour or so, but that had not been the case his leader had not returned and he still had to pervent any kind of escape or rescure that was attempted by the prisoner or her kin. "Excuse me sir, im hungery and thirsty and I cant help but notice all of the food and drink lieing around and I was wondering if I could..." "Have me get you something to eat and drink?" Said Keire finishing the bushtails sentence. "And I ain't no sir thats to prissy for me, just call me Keire or any thing that comes to mind." Gail ponderd this any thing that came to mind, why would he say that it was too kind of him some kind of trick. "So your hungery right, well weve got bread and water and some dasmon wine but thats the captins so what would you like?" Asked the Rat that was being rather kind to her. "Bread and water sounds great, could I have some now?" " I supose so, the captin never said not to feed you." After saying this the rat began breaking small chunks of bread of so the prisoner could chew at her own pace along with giveing her small droughts of water. After haveing her fill of the food she began to think about her plan of escape the rat might help her, but what was a rat and a tied up maid who had never risen I paw in anger or combat, to a well armed band of determined vermin? (Meanwhile in the mind of Keire) The bushtail seems nice enough, but then again calling me scumface wasn't nice, but when had he ever expected anyone to be nice to him? It was kill or be killed the toughest and smartest lived while the dumb and weak die. But she couldint be older then 15 seasons why harm a young maid, had she ever harmed a liveing creature? not likely he thought maybe he could escape before the rest got back and see her home safely. But if the rest knew what he had done they would kill him or worse, for some unkown reason he began to think of his child hood and of his mother who had said "Now Keire im not long for this world, but before I go you have got to promise me you will not ever hurt a another beast, if you must make sure it is in self defence!" "But mother I dont understand why tell me this. my farther killed the young and harmless so why cant I?" "Dammit keire your better then that you must never harm the innocent do you understand me,dont.....do...it..." "Mother are you ok, you look pail let me fecth you some water...." But his mother had fallen of a heart attack, soon after he left and began roveing and ended up here. Looking up he saw a few tears runing down the maids face. That made him snap standing up he was going to......
