With one last effort, Bowhan grabbed his child from the man. The dragon-like man gave him the most fierce look ever as he began to fall. Suddenly the glare turned to a satisfied smile, knowing one of the few dragon slayers of the world was going to die along with the child he so desperately wanted to kill, and yet, so desperately wanted to kill.
"I will never understand humankind..." He sighed as he turned around, and flew off.
Meanwhile, Bowhan was falling at a fast rate, his child was crying like mad in his arm as his other, holding the sword stabbed into the cliff. Unfortunately, instead of sticking into the rocky slope, his sword hit a ledge, and the blade shattered. Bowhan let out a cry as his famous blade was destroyed, it had seen many fight with him, and like that it was gone.
Thinking quickly Bowhan thrust the hilt into the mountain side, and sparks began to go off as the remaining metal of the blade continued to go along the side of the cliff. He looked down and noted the ground was very close, and he pressed the hilt harder against the mountain side.
In one of the last few seconds of the fall, the hilt caught in the side, and very abruptly stopped the fall, and also dislocated Bowhan's shoulder. With a loud cry, Bowhan's body fell the rest of the way on to the ground. landing roughly on his back. The child was crying very loudly in his other hand, not appreciating the fall at all.
"I can't believe we made it..." He gasped, looking up at the cliff. He saw the hilt of his sword about twenty feet up to where it was stuck.
