One day, Guinevere, Alice, and Jeffery left for the market place in the village to get things for the farm. Alice was excited, because it was the first time she was able to go to the village.Guinevere and Harold had always been afraid to being Alice anywhere in public, because one thought could cause her to transform. Even though it was for Alice's own good, they felt guilty in depriving her of being able to go to the village. Today, they finally gave in and they left for the market place.
They eventually made it to the village, but before they could separate, Guinevere told her children, "Now, you two need to stay close together."
"Mom," Alice complained, "I'm twelve; I can take care of myself."
Guinevere was always glad to her Alice call her mom. Alice knew that she wasn't her real mom, but Guinevere had loved her and took care of her like a mother should. "It's not that I think you can't take of yourself, Alice," Guinevere explained, "It's just that you know what can happen to you if people think..."
"Mom," Alice interrupted.
"No, Alice, listen to me. I don't want anything to happen to you. So, you need to be careful. Do you understand?" Guinevere said.
Alice sighed, "I understand." With that, Guinevere separated from her children.
Jeffery tried to cheer his sister up, "Hey Alice, come on let's look around." Alice agreed and they looked around the market place.

Little did they know, Alice's real mother was looking for Alice. Though, the demon didn't have a clue if Alice was a girl or a boy or what Alice would look like. "Damn that hunter," the demon cursed under her breath, "He did a good job at hiding the child from me. Though, his intentions were probably to get the child away from him, not me."
The demon always came to the market place, because she knew that many families in the general area came to this place. Humans were always predictable to the demon. The demon hadn't found her dragon child. She feared the the monster slayer might have ended up killing the child and tossing it in the woods or something to let it fend for itself. This fear wasn't because cared about Alice, it was because she wanted her to become her full dragonic form and help her punish these humans.
The demon was walking down the street when she saw something that caught her eyes. It was Bowhan sitting on the steps of the bar. Bowhan was always drinking because of his guilt, and he was sitting at the steps, though he wasn't drunk, yet. He was still strong looking, but not as strong as he used to be. The guilt had also aged him, because most of his hair was white now and he had a long beard. He was also wearing the same clothes from twelve years ago. Bowhan looked up and saw the demon walking past. She smiled at him with the sinister smile as she walked past. Bowhan buried his face into his hands and cried like he did so often these days.

Jeffery and Alice were walking down the street, minding their own business, when they were jumped. Jeffery and Alice were thrown into a small alleyway. There were six of them and they were all about two years older than Jeffery. "Hey, Jeff," mocked the biggest of the group, most likely the leader.
"Just leave us alone, Clarence," Jeffery ordered.
"Sure, we can do that," Clarence replied, "As long as you give us all your money." Clarence punched Jeffery in the gut and the others laughed. Jeffery felt to his knees.
Alice knelt nexy to her brother and yelled, "Leave him alone! What did he ever do to you?"
"I suggest that you stay out of this, brat, or we'll beat you as well," Clarence laughed, "Is this your bodyguard, Jeff? You can't stand up for yourself, so you get this little brat to do it for you?"
Alice couldn't take it anymore, and she grew very angry at the bastards who were treating her kind brother like crap. "Leave him alone," she hollered. Suddenly, her body began to glow. The six bullies backed away as her body was engulfed in green flames. "Alice, what's going on?" Jeffery asked nervously.
"I... I don't know," Alice replied, just as worried as him. Suddenly, Alice started to transform into a dragon. The six bullies screamed and ran away. "Jeff, help me. Think of me as a human, again." Jeffery tried his best, but it wasn't working. "Jeff, help!" Alice pleaded.
"I'm thinking of you as a human, but it's not working!" Jeffery explained.
