Karston looked around, and noticed that the guards had stopped chasing him. He had stolen some bread and some berries back in town, and when he got caught, the entire town seemed to have come together just to kill him. Looking down at the bread and berries, he couldn't understand why they would come at him with so many people for so little things.
Karston looked around once more to make sure he was safe, and sat down and grabbed the food out of his bag. He started eating some of the berries when he heard something breathing heavily. Slowly turning around, Karston saw a giant bear looking straight at him! He started slowly backing away, which seemed to make it angrier. He kept trying to slowly put distance between himself when he felt his leg brush against something. He looked and saw that it was a baby bear. When he looked back at the mother bear, it was already charging.
Karston started sprinting away from the bear, wondering if his day could get any worse.

The Kitsune was sleeping in her favorite clearing in the forest, dreaming the same dream she always did, dreaming that she was human, and was living with her father in a small hut. It had been 16 years since she had woken up in the arms of her father, and then abandoned by him. She wondered where he was, and if he missed her.
Since her birth, she had tried to make friends with humans, but everytime they saw her, they either ran in fear or were convinced that she was playing tricks on them. She never stopped trying though, because she just "knew" that she would meet a nice person that would be her friend. Her search for a friend was not helped by her massivley accelerated growth, leaving her with all nine tails at the age of 12. This, along with her human blood, made her a freak to any other Kitsune, and any time she ran across one, they would run away or fight her.
She suddenly bolted upright as she heard someone running towards the clearing, and could tell by the smell that it was a human, who was being chased by what she guessed was a bear. She froze for a second, wondering what she should do. She could scare the bear off with her powers, but that would frighten the boy. She could alos disguise herself, though the curse on her prevented her from becoming completely human, and fight the bear off like that. As the boy came into view, she decided that she would
