“Arrgghhh!”
You wailed in pain as Cheetah’s fangs sank into your injured shoulder, biting through both flesh and bone. Feeling your left arm go numb at this blunt trauma, you soon found yourself screaming on loop, while Cheetah merely laughed, enjoying your plight.
“You do taste good,” she whispered seductively in your ear, as her long legs wrapped around your torso. Constricting tightly, you soon found yourself gasping for air. Her ankles crossed once again, and as she continued applying this scathing bodyscissors, you had to wonder where it all went wrong.
It all started when you neglected to make sure she didn’t get up. And while you exhausted your adrenaline rush fighting Sapphire, she merely rested, and waited until the opportune time to strike.
And that time was now.
Still grunting between clenched teeth, you had to fight yourself to continue screaming more, only fueling Cheetah’s fire. Licking your lips in anticipation, she was relishing every second of this.
“You can’t beat all of us, Batman. But we can beat you,” she giggled, resting her head on your profusely bleeding shoulder. Almost like a kitten nuzzling against its mother, Cheetah was as confident as ever, and she should be.
“Y-y-you haven’t w-won yet,” you stammered, with the immense blood loss now affecting your speech. The color was beginning to drain out of your skin, making you resemble a vampire, or at least more so than usual.
“Oh, haven’t we?” she replied snidely.
Your knees inevitably buckled, and you fell to a kneeling position, with Cheetah still wrapped around you. It was becoming painfully obvious that this was a fight you couldn’t win, however it was now painstakingly obvious that it was one you wouldn’t survive.
Writhing against her grip, your struggles were swiftly snuffed out as she constricted her legs around your torso, knocking the wind out of you. As her thighs tightened around your waist, you were struggling to keep from vomiting your lungs out.
Finding it harder and harder to breathe, you were beginning to faceplant, but you had just enough strength to remain upright, at least for now. With her thighs still squeezing against your bruised stomach, throwing her off would be no easy feat. Still, you had to try.
“Well well, look who decided to show up,” came a slightly irritable voice from amidst the debris. Star Sapphire finally extricated herself from the demolished crates, using violet tendrils to remove any planks or tools from her path.
“And look who just got her ass kicked by this loser,” Cheetah sneered in response, as Sapphire cocked a hip.
“Let’s just get this done,” she grated irritably, before aiming her ring at your forehead.
Playfully biting at your concealed ear, Cheetah caressed your bloodied cowl with her fingers.
“Just for the record, I beat you,” she purred viciously into your ear, her taunting words spiked with arrogance.
It was then that you found one last adrenaline surge. You had gone through near inhumane punishment, been ridiculed and taunted, but you would be damned if you went down this way. On your knees, bowing to your exterior. When you go out, you go out fighting, and go down dying.
“Don’t get too excited, cat! I’m just going to lobotomize him so you can have your fun,” Sapphire said, perfecting her aim for one last energy blast.
Giggling mischievously, she draped her forearm around your torso, and began tracing your faded bat insignia, her fingernail scratching at the fabric.
“Oh, the things I’m going to do to you!” she breathed in an overtly excited, near euphoric tone.
That was when you struck.
Seizing her forearm, you flung her overhead like a rag doll, putting every ounce of will and determination behind it.
Sapphire’s eyes widened as Cheetah’s flailing body came hurtling towards her. Before she could erect a protective bubble, Cheetah’s butt met her face, literally.
Collapsing in a tangled heap, the two were momentarily downed, while you weakly tried to raise your grapple hook. Your thought process was sluggish, but you knew you had to escape. Escape to fight, or at the very least live another day.
Your forearm still shaking as you aimed, you finally pressed the trigger. The hook whizzed through the air before finally catching something near the skylight you had entered. Feeling the cable tighten, you let yourself be propelled upwards as your body began slackening.
Untangling herself from Sapphire’s moaning form, Cheetah roared in frustration, her prey seeping right through her fingers.
“No!” she cried, fire and hatred burning in her eyes. She wouldn’t be denied this victory; for her there wouldn’t be a “next time.”
Letting the grapple gun do the heavy lifting, you watched as you passed by the first level catwalk, then whistled past the second. Now zipping towards the third and final, you were about to taste salvation, when the worst came true.
Possessed by fury, Cheetah had resorted to climbing up the machinery, going down on all fours as she dug her claws into the walls. Scaling the walls with the speed of her namesake, she was now up to your level.
Your eyes widened in shock as she continued leaping up the walls, hell-bent on not letting you get away. Before you could hurl a Batarang her way, she launched off the walls, and tackled you in mid-air.
You almost gasped as you lost control of the gadget, your fingers slipping off the handle. You made a desperate lunge towards it, but Cheetah rammed her entire body weight into your injured shoulder.
Howling in pain as she used your wound against you, Cheetah was just about to grab your throat when you both hit the second level catwalk.
Feeling the cold metal “cushion” your fall, you immediately rolled away. Grabbing at the metal bars for support, you were starting to have black spots in your vision.
Finally pulling yourself up, you turned to Cheetah who had already gotten up.
“You’re mine!” she growled, uttering a feral roar before jumping down on all fours.
Assuming the boxing stance, you raised both hands. Eyeing her blurry figure, you begrudgingly came to terms with your fate.
This would be how it would end, exactly how it started, with the Batman and the Cheetah.
Grinning from corner to corner, she made one final lunge your way. Foam still dripping off her lip, she had stupidly took your weakened physical state for a weakened mental state.
Her mistake.
Just as she was about to barrel into you, you simply sidestepped her leap of fury. Feeling her body whistle past you like a breeze, Cheetah instead sailed over the rails, and unto the darkness below.
Curiosity getting the better of you, you peered over the edge, trying to make out her body in the floor below.
Your final mistake.
Moving with the flexibility and agility of an Amazon warrior, Cheetah brought both legs up in a headstand stance, her fingers desperately grasping the bottom rung.
Her legs would then wrap around your neck in an inverted bodyscissors, a move that few could do, and even fewer could do right. Her thighs squeezing your cheeks together, you had no words as she lifted you up and over.
As soon as your feet left the ground, you knew it was over. Now plummeting to the ground, you made an attempt to adjust your landing in mid-air, but Star Sapphire intercepted you.
Another hammer construct connected, dislocating your lower jaw and sending you in a backflip through the air. As soon as she delivered the emphatic blow, your body lost all feeling.
But just before you could hit the ground, Cheetah ravaged you with an absolutely brutal double stomp to the back of your head. With both soles cracking against your skull, you felt a throbbing sensation that most likely resembled a concussion, before you landed.
You had fractured your left kneecap upon landing, and your right arm was currently in a very unnatural position. Any attempt at breathing was met with violet coughing. Hacking and spitting up blood with each gasp, you were without a shadow of a doubt, a broken man.
Your left eyelid had hit the ground first, and thus had cracked and split in two, revealing your naked eye. Your fingers twitched instinctively as the only way to know that your limbs were still attached.
Blood now forming a pool around you, you were a broken shell of the Batman you once were. And to add insult to injury, your legend had been ended by Star Sapphire and the Cheetah, who the other superpowered members of the Justice League had no problem subduing back in the Secret Society.
Now, they had subdued you.
You were zoning in and out of consciousness, with each second signaling your grip on reality slipping away. The last full image you could make out was Cheetah and Star Sapphire, leering over your broken and utterly defeated body.
Blood pounded against your eardrums, but you could somehow make up their conversation.
“Can I kill him now?” came Cheetah’s impatient plea.
“No, that would be too easy. I have other ways we can break the Bat,” came Sapphire’s ominous reply, as her sneering face soon flooded your vision.
Their long legs soon encapsulated you in a prison of your own misery. Your still functional eye made out Cheetah’s bare feet in the puddle of crimson. Her toes flexed and spread, letting the liquid seep in between as she listened to Sapphire’s proposal.
As your world faded to black, the last thing you saw was the very instrument of your own undoing: female feet. But more important, Sapphire’s scrunched up sole descending on your face. Her bare foot pressed into your temple, her toes spreading to encompass your eyes in defeat.
“It’s all over now, Batman...” Her seductive voice slurred above your head as her foot rested dominantly on your cowl, a testament to the legend now laid to rest, the chink found in the armor of the Dark Knight.
Then, you lost consciousness, conquered at the feet of Star Sapphire and the Cheetah.
