She clicked over to the next channel. By coincedence, it was also fat related. A skinny woman was reporting on a fashion show, but all the women were overweight. If they lost at least a hundred pounds, most of them would have looked fantastic on a regular runway, but here, in all their blubbery glory, they looked magnificent!
"My god..." Ideas began brewing in Marissa's head. She cupped her breasts. A decent size. A few extra pounds and she could probably be up there with them, "This is unbelievable..."
The woman reporting began to talk, "Today I genuinely cannot believe what I am seeing. Here at Jameson's City Theatre, hundreds have flocked to see the first official Bigger is Better Magazine fashion show. When I was initially sent here, I was expecting maybe a few dozen overweight people looking to see more of their kind. I am surprised to say that people of all shapes and sizes can be found here, some actually blown away by the sights they see before them. I am completely disgusted!"
Marissa's smile faded somewhat. She had just been inspired, she didn't need someone badmouthing her new decision.
"These are men and women of different shapes and sizes all cheering on these fat pigs as if they were regular models. I cannot understand for a minute why anyone would ever consider this attractive! Look at this model here, dressed in the Wild West style lingere. Her stomach is sticking out half a meter in front of her, jiggling with each step. While I was back stage, she and some other models had a belching contest. Can you believe for one minute that this is more than a hallucination?"
"Excuse me Gemma," said the news anchor, "But I believe you were sent out to give a report on this in regards to Fat Acceptance. You are doing quite the opposite."
"But Jarod! I...You're not here, these women..! They're fat! You have asked me to give a positive report on obesity! What is my next assignment? Telling the people at home the wonders of self amputation?"
"That's quite enough Gemma. If you can't give us a proper report, we'll just send down someone else. There's at least three hours of the show left."
"But..."
"No buts, are you going to do the report or not?"
"You can't be serious! I'm your number one anchor!"
The show quickly cut to a commercial. Marissa scowled to herself in regards to the reporter. "How hard could it have been to just say 'These women are posing for Plus Sized clothing?' Honestly."
She shook her head, when finally the news came back.
"We apologise for that. Reporter Chelsea Graving will be with us live in thirty minutes to give you a proper rundown of the event. We would like to apologise for Gemma's behaviour. In a related story, jailed college student Opal B. Gass escaped from custody this morning. Originally arrested three months ago for feeding a fellow student into a coma, Gass is not considered particulerly dangerous, but if seen, please contact the authorities."
Marissa laughed, "If only I had someone to feed me like that, I'd be in that fashion show already." She turned the TV off, she had work to do. "First I empty the kitchen, then make my way down to Taco Bell." Her flat belly grumbled at the prospect of junk food, "If you think that's exciting, from now on, you're gonna be a very, VERY happy belly." She waddled into the kitchen, happily swinging her butt from side to side as she imagined it with several layers of fat on top.
