Chapter #12

Cutting Close

You quickly slip the remote into your pocket right before your mom faces you.

"Good morning Mom!", You manage to say while holding back your nervousness and excitement.

"Good morning! Wow, you're up bright and early", your mom replies, surprised by your manner she feels suspicious, "What's going on?"

"Nothing, just couldn't sleep anymore so I guess I'll go ahead and eat something to start the day."

"Okay", she replies, "But don't touch the granola bars in the cabinet, it's for my diet!"

She doesn't notice the tiny height difference and neither her or anyone, including dad, will never notice the change besides Todd.
He comtemplates shrinking her down two inches to her normal size as she towards the hallway but it's too risky.


"That was close", you say with a sigh.
