Absent mindedly you stared at your girlfriend, mind filled with an amazed blank as you tried to comprehend what Nancy just said. You thought you were dying, no...you were dying. Nancy had to be making this up, she just had to be. "Not funny Nancy, I'm the one thats supposed to be in denial not you."
Nancy leaned forward, her face so close to yours you could feel the heat radiating from her body. Transfixed you stared into the beauty of her sapphire eyes. "It's the truth. You just don't believe it."
Somehow you knew it was, Nancy's eyes were filled were determination and guilt, not fake feelings but true feelings. She honestly did this to you, or at least believed she did. " How did you do it?" Truth or not you were curious as to what Nancy meant, and faintly in the back of your mind you hoped it was the truth. Because if she did cause you to shrink, she could fix you too.
Backing away Nancy turned and eyed the witch materials laid in a corner of her room. "I'm always saying I'm a witch and well.....you never believed me but it was the truth. Last week I was practicing some magic...love...magic....and well...I messed up...."
"And it did this to me?" You finished, not sure if you believed it or not.
Your beautiful girlfriend nodded as she stared guiltily at the witch supplies. " I asked Mom about it and well...she said it sounded like a certain spell and....you coming hear with the whole shrinking thing confirmed it. I'm so sorry....if I didn't love....."
Amazed you interrupted Nancy, "Love....you love me?"
Turning around Nancy smiled sadly at you, her eyes glimmering with guilt ridden tears at the edges. "Yes, I love you Peter. And it's why the spell affected you, all of you, and only you."
Mixed feelings didn't even describe you right now. It wasn't even a matter of if Nancy had shrunken you or not, She loved you! Your teenage heart filled with so many emotions, the prominent one not being sadness or rage; but love. "Nancy...I love you too. and...as long as I am with you shrinking will be okay."
Nancy looked surprised, mouth literally agap. " You're....not mad?"
"No, not at all. It was an accident, and it only affected me because you cared. That means so much to me. " Tears of joy started welling up in the corners of your eyes. Nancy shrunk you, she could fix it and more importantly you guys had taken the next step in your relationship.
"Oh Peter..." Nancy moaned as she lovingly embraced you, sniffling from the tears streaming down her cheeks. "It's so wonderful you won't be mad for being a centimeter tall."
" What's a day or two of waiting for the cure? " You muttered happily.
Immediately Nancy jumped away, looking completely confused. " Day or two? Peter....   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
