The evening goes on without issue, but you can't help keeping an eye on Jenny. Not only does she look closer in height to her brother but... everyone seems taller ? You know you're supposed to be fairly taller than everyone, but Greg seems awfully close to you in height, even if he seems to avoid standing right next to you all evening for some reason, so you can't be sure...
This idea keeps bugging you, and you can't wait to have every kid going to bed (or to their rooms, at least, you know for sure that Greg will play video games and Jenny will watch her series on her computer until 10pm).
As soon as the evening chores are complete, you go to your room and open the drawer where you keep the family's medical records. Everyone had a check-up last month. Jenny was 5'5 (1m65), Greg 5'9 (1m75), Tyler 5'2 (1m57), Katie 3'10 (1m16)... and you were 6'1 (1m85). You went up to the measuring rod in the living room to check you own height... to find that you were 5'10 (1m78) ! You've lost three whole inches !
Once again, there surely was a logical explanation. You probably didn't check well, or... damn, you were maybe just too tired to do this kind of measurement. You'll look again the next day, after a good night's sleep. But yeah, it still seems that you pajamas are a little too large right now.
