This choice: Marissa puts you in her cranberry vodka and leaves you on the table • Go Back... You never expected Megan's friends to be smart, but you never saw this coming. Marissa decides, probably correctly, that she can't just keep you in her hand for the rest of the night, but her solution isn't exactly elegant either. "I'LL JUST KEEP YOU WITH MY DRINK. NOW DON'T GET LOST NOW." It sounds like a bad idea for her to let you out of her sight at all, but it's worse when you realize what she's actually planning to do. Marissa holds you out in front of her with her right hand, and you look down to see you're right above her giant cranberry vodka. You have GOT to be kidding me, you think to yourself, but right then Marissa lets go, and you splash into her drink.
"WAIT, MARISSA!" you scream. "THIS IS INSANE!" You're worried she won't be able to hear you over the loud music and noise in the bar, but she looks down at you as if in response. "NO, THIS IS GREAT," she says. "I'LL BE BACK SOON."
You'd like to just assume Marissa is too drunk to think this through, or maybe just too stupid. Either way, you're now unbelievably freezing, since you're now surrounded by gigantic blocks of ice. Worse, you're treading vodka and cranberry juice, so you also can't accidentally ingest any of this if you want to stay sober. Unfortunately, for the time being you're mostly just concerned with staying alive, as staying in any liquid at this temperature can't possibly be safe. You remember reading about how people start to feel drowsy when they die from freezing, and you wonder if that's going to happen to you. After a few minutes of experimenting, you find your best bet is to lean your back against a block of ice, so you don't expose any skin to the freezing ice, while paddling with your legs, so you stay afloat. This is probably about the best way to stay warm too.
You're so into staying alert and above vodka that you don't notice the elapse of time, or someone noticing your drink. In fact, it's not until you're knocked off balance by the lifting of your glass cage that you even notice you're being picked up. There's only one question, then: who's now holding the drink? | Members who added to this interactive story also contributed to these: |
