Chapter #4

Fleeing with Jess

    by: rockstatic Author IconMail Icon
OK, so you're standing there in the middle of a wide-open kitchen floor, the kind with black-and-white checkered linoleum. It's not that impossible to see you, and more than that, your giantess colleague Jess has already leaned down to pick you up. Nonetheless, as soon as Suzi enters the office kitchen, Jess is adjusting her tights with both hands, and stands back up. "Hey Suzi," she says, even though you know for a fact Jess hates her. "How's it going?"

"Oh, nothing," Suzi says, obviously lying. You're sure she can see you, but you can tell Suzi doesn't want to be the one to admit that there's a four-inch man in the middle of the floor. This is tense. Suzi pauses, as if to say something, and then turns away. You breathe a sigh of relief. Jess stays tense for a few moments, but once she's decided Suzi has actually walked away, she reaches down again, and picks you up.

It's a weird feeling, a little like a roller coaster where you feel like you're about to fall out at any time. But Jess has a good grip on you, and you can tell she's still concerned as she holds you up to her ear and whispers, "What's going on?"

"This is bad news," you reply. "Suzi's got this gun that can do almost anything, and she's obviously done this to me. We should get out of here."

"Are you sure you don't want to try to get your size back?" replies Jess. You're sure she's realized the danger, and it's sweet of her to ask. "No way," you reply. "Let's get the hell out of here."

Fortunately, Jess has brought her purse with her to the kitchen, so she can leave without returning to your desk. She apologizes profusely for treating you like an object as she puts you in her purse, but you both agree that that's the simplest way to get out. You know it's not going to be fun as Jess goes down the seven flights of stairs to the parking lot, but you told her not to even wait for the elevator. You want to get out of Suzi's sight as soon as possible.

As it turns out, your plan works pretty well. You've got a chill down your spine knowing that Suzi has control of the gun, and you're sure you made the right choice leaving as soon as you could. You think Jess feels the same way. And soon enough, she takes you out of her purse, where you see you're now in her car. She sets you on the passenger seat and starts to drive, whereupon you find that you don't have to shout too loudly for her to hear you, even over the engine of the car. In a quiet place you should be fine.

That's where you end up, as Jess briefly puts you back into her purse to take you up to her downtown apartment. It's a nice place, and she says her roommate hasn't come home yet. Better still, they have separate rooms, so as long as you mostly stay in Jess's room, her roommate doesn't need to get involved.

"Well," says Jess. "Here we are."

You have the following choices:

1. You never hear from Suzi again

2. Everyone finds out about Suzi

3. Jess's roommate comes home early.
