With Megan gone, you stride confidently out of the bathroom and back into her dorm room. Actually, it's your room now.
The thought stops you in your tracks. You're leading a whole new life now. You won't be just pretending to be Megan, or seeing what her life is like. You are Megan. That woman you shrank down and flushed down the toilet is gone, and she's never coming back. You resolve never to think about the old Megan again.
Getting rid of your old life is a bit more of a challenge. It's gruesome, but you write up a quick suicide note for your old self, something about jumping off a bridge, and then call 911 in a faux panic, pretending to be shocked and traumatized at having found the note. They get you out of the dorm almost immediately and take you down to the hospital to make sure you're okay while they go investigate. They'll never find your body, and they'll assume it's at the bottom of the river.
You spend the night acting, as you pretend to be traumatized enough to seem real but well enough that they'll let you out without a fuss. Everything goes as planned, and early the next morning you're sent back to school, only to discover that they've already set you up in a new dorm room, a single to protect your fragile self. They even moved all your stuff over to the new dorm for you. (Yes, you check, and the gun is still there.)
The staffer from Facilities hands you your new room key and walks away. You smile, realizing that the old you is gone forever now too. You resolve never to think of your old life again either. You are truly Megan now.
