"What the heck, I'm sure nothing bad will happen." Tails walks through a little door in the machine into a little room. After pushing a few buttons, a picture of Sonic appears on a screen. "Well, I've always wanted to go fast like Sonic." He pushed a big red button underneath the screen and lights started flashing. The machine started rumbling, and then a bright light blinded Tails.

He awoke a little later to find that...
