Chapter #5

Sneaking at night

by: Phelina Hemtrop Author IconMail Icon
Well he didn't need the orphanage now. He had the necklace and he could get money for it. But Mr. Hartship owed him something. Before he left, he would make Mr. Hartship repay his debt.

Mr. Hartship didn't know it, but Tim had seen where he hid his money box. And he knew where the key was too. Hanging on a hook in Mr. Hartship's bedroom at night, and around his neck during the day. Well tonight he could get the key to the money box and the key to Mr. Harship's office at the same time since they were kept in the same place.

Sneaking out of bed late at night, Tim padded softly down the stairs and around the corner until he stood before the door of Mr. Hartship's bedroom. His small hand reached out and touched the door knob. Slowly he turned it.
