"I'm not sure I follow,my prince."The girl said as she looked away from his penetrating gaze, it was then that his gaze seemed to soften,"You never have to think about what others think about you, you never have to keep up appearances with generals and dignitaries,and aside from the work you can do as you wish."
She let out a small laugh,"I wouldn't say that," she blushed," I care very much what you think about me."
He was silent not many people cared what he thought,and those that did were usually drowned out by those that didn't. A rather embarrassing thought struck him right at that moment,He didn't even know this girls name...
"Er,uh, n-not to seem rude or like I've been completely oblivious but what is your name?" he asked the rest of his face turning a shade of red which complemented his scar nicely.
She couldn't help but laugh as she replied,"My name is Raven,daughter of the gods only know who,from the gods only know where."
He knew he shouldn't have but he did, he laughed, until he noticed the almost sad look in her eyes,"I'm sorry," Zuko said awkwardly," I didn't mean to offend you."
She very quickly hid the look and played it off on a laugh while replying,"You offend me? Don't be so silly, it takes more than that to offend me."
Zuko looked relieved but not reassured he remained silent,staring off into the night sky,he had done this many times before to help him think ,"I know what it feels like," he said as he gently placed his hand on her shoulder,"I know what it feels like to be so completely alone."
She looked away,"I've never felt alone," she said,"and now I have a home, and this is the best place that I've ever lived in."
Raven laughed suddenly,causing Zuko to give her a side ways look,"I'm sorry my prince,"She said,"I was however remembering the look on our not so beloved commanders face when you beat him in the Agni Kai."
He couldn't resist a smile the child's smile was contagious,"That was indeed a memorable moment," He replied,as a shiver ran up his back,"for a few seconds i thought i was going to be the one to lose."
The girl smiled as she replied "I knew you would come out the victor."
