You get attacked on the way home.

You walk home, your mind not on the world as you inspect the potions carefully shaking them softly, seeing how they react. The VR world has an interesting way to display magical items, often making them look slightly wrong. It is fascinating. It is so mesmerizing you don't hear the rushed footsteps coming up along side you and your tackled aside the potions shattering on the ground. you turn to face your assaulter and it is a woman, obscured by a rather modern looking mask for a VR simulation. She simply says, "You'll thank me later." and she disappears into the night.

You might be able to catch her, but it is dark and late and is hardly worth the effort. Even then she spoiled your fun.
