You decide it would be fun to hang with Fred and his animals. However, you want to get there quickly, and the quickest way is by driving. It is about 20 miles away from your house on the roads from your house to his house. However, in a straight line from your house to his house, the distance is about 12 miles. You figure that you have these powers of yours, so you might as well use them You figure you can run 10 miles per hour normally, which means one mile every six minutes. At that pace, it would take 72 minutes to run in a straight line from your house to his house, and you want to get there in one minute.
After doing a bit of calculating, you begin to grow yourself, but while keeping everything else the same size, or else it might change the distance between the houses. You grow yourself until you are a good 550 feet tall. You realize that running in a straight line at this size might not bode well for the others near your house. You decide that you should probably take the roads, as cars could dodge your feet better than a normal person can, but first you boost yourself up to 900 feet tall to compensate for distance. You start off running, and you love it. Your feet just crash down against the road, leaving a huge mark where they land.
A few cars swerve off the road as your feet land, but they look like it isn't their first time seeing this boy with a toe that is half the size of a small house. After a while, you reach their farm, and stare at the fields, so vast and endless... except when you are as tall as you are. You shrink down to your height of 7'2", and go get Fred.
