You are so pathetically small, so Jane would never notice you while you are on the table. You have to get closer to her face so that she may see or hear you. But since you can't fly or anything, how are you to get there?
Just then you see that Jane is moving her hand towards the glass. She will take a sip, no doubt. And this is your ride up. Seizing this unique chance, you run towards the glass, just as the girl's fingers are tightening around it. You jump out of your dash just in time to hold onto her middle finger as the hand is being moved upwards. Her skin is warm and soft. Thanks to her pores and fine hair, you have no problem holding on to her. And you can't help but smile as you take in the sweet smell of her perfume.
When the hand comes to a standstill, you take a look around. You are clinging to Jane's hand which is still quite far away from her face as far as you can tell. Actually, you expected to be much closer, with Jane being about to tilt the glass in order to drink its contents. This would have been your chance to be eye to eye with her, but at that distance? No way. Why has she stopped? Has she noticed you? No, she isn't looking at you but at something above you - the drink! Just as the world starts rushing by, you remember the drinks smell which you had tasted just a few moments before. A smell promising lots of alcohol, in a tiny glass - she is gonna down it in a single move!
You try to hang on, but the sudden stop is just too much for you (it's a miracle you haven't fallen off sooner). Helplessly flailing your arms around as you have become airborne. What will become of you?
