A quick glance around shows to you that you are as alone as you may get. None of the guests at the bar are friends of yours, and being such small and vulnerable, you would rather not surrender yourself to the mercies of some drunken stranger. It is settled, you have to find someone who knows you so that you may get some help. So first order of business should be getting down from this counter.
With determination you walk up to the edge of the smooth plain you are standing on. You look down. You crawl back a bit and try to recover from the shock. At your current size, the counter must be some two hundred meters high. It certainly looked like it. If you happened to fall all that way, you would die an anonymous death as a microscopic pancake on the dirty floor of this darn place. But you have no choice. You need help fast.
Gathering all your courage, you crawl back to the edge. The sight of the abyss sends shivers down your spine. "Don't look down, don't look down", you keep telling yourself while lifting your legs over the edge. Fortunately, the table is made of real wood (a miracle considering who's running this business) and has suffered quite a lot over the years. It takes your feet only moments to find appropriate footholds more than large enough to support you. Encouraged by this discovery, you begin climbing down.
Climbing down the counter is tedious and hard work. Although there are more than enough footholds, it is still a gigantic distance you have to travel. And from time to time, you have to cling onto the dirty surface in order to keep from being sucked away by a gust of wind created by one of the guests walking along the counter. Your arms are growing tired and your breath is more than forced, but there is no space for you to rest at. And if you fall - better not consider that again.
Finally, the miracle happens, you really reach the floor after an eternity of climbing. Your arms feel dead and there is no part of your body that isn't hurting. Your lungs are burning with every breath you take. Unbelievably glad and proud, you collapse onto the floor. What are you going to do once you have recovered from this ordeal?
