Chapter #2

Gobble, Gobble, Mother-bleepers

    by: laughingjack
The fourth Thursday of November came so as usual you went to your Aunt Jane and Uncle Bob's house. You really didn't like visiting the family because your older sister Jenna would talk to your cousin (Jane and Bob's daughter), Tonya about stupid girl things. Your little brother, Tommy would go around and chase your uncle's cat around the house. Your Aunt Danielle would always wear black, make strange faces and never talk. This left you talking to your grandfather, who was sickly and often on pain killers. He would ramble some wierd and silly things to you. He also repeated questions frequently because his memory was suffering as well. Being the middle child of a big family wasn't easy. You were hoping for something different this year. You were told you had another uncle, but you never even saw him once, but it was rumored he would be coming back from whatever obscure part of the world he was now living in with his wife and kids you had never even talked to. At least it would be different, and anything different is good.

As you entered your uncle Bob's hous you received a kiss on the cheek to Aunt Jane and Cousin Tonya, a steady handshake from Uncle Bob, a crooked glare from weird Aunt Danielle, and before you knew it you were alone seated with that crazy old man you called 'Poppop'.

Unfortunately it didn't appear uncle WhatHisName was there yet if he was even coming at all, but at least he might be interesting to talk to.

You all sat at the table and the turkey came. It was somewhat unappetizing. "Aunt Danielle brought the Turkey this year," Aunt Jane said, "She got it from some fancy market."
Danielle grunted.
"The Market of the Damned," Aunt Jane said hesitantly, "My younger sister wanted me to tell you it was a place in an Alley called the Market of the Damned. Can't you do anything right Danielle, without being crazy."
Danielle grinned and nodded.
"But it was a cute little Indian .."
Danielle grunted again.
"Native American shop, it had some fairly antique stuff, but in the window they were advertising this chicken, and Aunt Danielle had to have it."

Now that Danielle had ruined everyone's mood and appetite it seemed as natural a time as any to start dinner. Your Mom looked at the door and then her watch as though she was expecting someone else to come, but it could have easily been a way to avoid touching the turkey.

Uncle Bob had, had enough with the antiques of his sister in-law, and wasn't going to let her ruin Thanksgiving. "Well this turkey looks mighty fine and I am gonna grab my self a nice chunk of Turkey breast. Can I get you anything Danielle?"
He seemed to be egging her on knowing she wouldn't reply. He dumped some meet on her plate anyway, and scoffed, "Ha, like there is some Injun curse on this delicious turkey."

Your crazy Aunt Danielle took a bite of the Turkey and soon everyone began to eat the turkey. At least grandpa isn't as crazy as her you thought to yourself.

You were getting drowsy, and all of a sudden two family member's let out a scream. You heard something about switched bodies, but your eyes were closed as the turkey had really induced sleep.

Who switches first?
