Amanda was having a hard time waking up. Though her eyelids still felt rather heavy, she gave them a quick rub before slowly opening them. It took a moment for her vision to adjust to the bright light flooding her room. Slowly her eyes adjusted as she noticed a small brown blur at the base of her bed.
"Shit!"
Startled by the foreign object, she instinctively kicked it away, effectively pushing it over the edge of the bed. Gathering her courage, she crawled to the edge of her bed and peered over. On the floor was a small, brown package that was addressed to her. "Shit! It's only a present..." she said with a sigh. After all, it was her birthday today.
Amanda loved getting presents, so she immediately retrieved the package from the floor and began to tear into it. She hadn't even bothered to check who had sent it to her, or even think about how it ended up at the foot of her bed, despite the fact she lived alone. Her excitement clouded her judgement, the anticipation of what was inside killing her, figuratively at least.
"Hm.."
It was a rather unenthusiastic response to a rather unusual gift. What else could you say when your gift was three pairs of underwear. The first was a full-cut, lime green pair of cotton panties. The second, a similarly cut pair of black satin panties. The final was a not-so-skimpy "thong" as blue as the ocean. Admittedly, her own wardrobe of underwear was neither fashionable or sexy, but it was a bit insulting to receive such modest clothing.
In between the pairs of panties was a small piece of paper. Amanda pulled out the paper, reading the note scratched on it.
"You should give these a try. I'm certain you're going to have a 'big' day ahead..."
Curious as to who had written that note, it finally dawned on her to see just who had sent the package as well. Searching around the corners of the box, she found no return address anywhere. She also started to wonder just how the package had gotten on her bed. She lived completely alone.
She shivered as she thought about it, before dismissing the thought altogether. If someone had gotten in and left it for her, they were surely gone by now. After mentally comforting herself for a few moments, she turned her attention back to the package. Whether thoughtless or tacky, a gift was a gift, no? She looked at the three pairs, deciding to try on...
