It was a gas-spewing machine (obviously). Jill's suspicions that something bad was going to happen to her were confirmed when the machine activated, spewing a cloud of dark purple smoke in her face. She coughed once or twice, before the effects of the gas started to manifest. but how exactly do the effects manifest?.
