Adam spun around, feet slipping on loose rocks. He hit the pavement. . .hard. But not as hard as his laptop did. He, at least, didn't splinter into numerous peices. After a quick look around and the realization that no one was there, began scooping up the peices. "Crap. . ." he muttered. Only to hear a high-pitched laugh float down the street. "Very funny," he screamed. There was no response. Just a small gust of wind. He got up, brushed himself off, and continued walking.
