She franticly began pulling on the door but it wouldn’t budge. She was sweating now and felt very dizzy: if she didn’t open this door she felt like she would die. Karina stopped for a second and thought. It would be a possibility that you had to turn the door knob, but…
She turned it and the door opened. Somewhere inside the vast fields of her mind a voice screamed “Alleluia!” after she stepped inside and slammed the door shut, which was when the smell hit her. The junk food and greasy foods that gave adults and even children stomachaches’ had to go somewhere: it happened to all end up in her stall. Karina had a terrible urge to just throw up but she had to swallow it down unless she wanted to be partially dressed in her own digested snacks. Slowly she sunk down to her heels (careful not to touch the ground with her behind) and began to desperately weep. Tonight she managed to embarrass herself not just in her own county, but maybe through the entire state- or the nation! A TV show did catch her nude. Moreover, Tom had most-likely left by now to leave her alone. She lost her dress, a cute boy, and worst of all… her pride.
There was a knock on the door and Karina couldn’t help but to hold her breath. She was scared now; scared of the outside world and she didn’t want anyone alien invading her new-found loneliness. A memorable voice spoke to her through the three, small slanted breathe holes far above her head.
“Jessica? It’s me, Tom. Someone told me you were in here and I wanted to… you know, check how you were doing.”
“I’m chubby and was naked on public television, not to mention every parent in town and their children happened to get a good look at me. How do you think I’m doing, Tom?”
This was the worst first-date ever!
