Boy, Did I Pick Up the Wrong Fare

Startled, you look in the rearview mirror. "Listen, Pop, we're in New York City. You're only off by about three thousand miles."

He looked confused. Great, I thought, I should have picked up the woman. Let me try again. "Where can I take you, mister. In New York."

"Young man, I insist on going to the Beverly Hilton." He took out a gun and held it to my head. "Right away."

"Yes sir," I agreed, " a little cross country ride sounds like just the thing. That will be six thousand dollars."

He put the barrel behind my right ear. "Put it on my tab," he growled.
