Chapter #2
Out Pops Bill
by: Zoo Duck
Bill stepped off the porch and pushed the swaying grasses from the path of the sidewalk, wondering if he was dreaming.
He slapped himself square in the forehead, closed his eyes and opened them again, but the grass was still there, crazily waving in the air like a massive grain field.
Out in the street and on the sidewalks, Bill's new yard was attracting attention. The neighbors were coming out of their houses and gawking. Some of them were coming over to have a better look, but noone was getting too close. In fact, the sidewalk directly in front of Bill's lot was covered over by the grass and nobody was walking in it. They were gathering in small groups and talking in hushed tones when with a great rustle of grass and foliage, Bill half stumbled and popped out onto the street.
