Nineteen years ago, I Was working at Harlan Daily Enterprise as a staff writer/reporter.
I loved doing the human interest pieces, and was able to interview a songwriter, who wrote for Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash. He also put out his own bluegrass songs, which were hits.

Nineteen years ago, I Nineteen years ago I was a committed college teacher plus a hard working housewife looking after two kids, mother-in-law. After packing lunch boxes for the kids and hubby, I rush to college and return home by 2 pm. then spend the time reading in bed.

Nineteen years ago, I went to Florida for the first time and also flew on a plane for the first time. I was scared, but the flight went smoothly and I enjoyed my trip. I was also a week away from starting middle school. The calm before the storm of the middle school years!

Nineteen years ago, I was working at a Firestone Tire Factory. You know the one. The tire recall? Yep, I was there. I was a Maintenance Supervisor doing a lot of root cause determination on equipment downtime. Knew they would close the plant. Look where I am now as a result!

Nineteen years ago, I I was pregnant with my 2nd child, having lost the first one. I would discover Writing.com four years later. I didn't make a lot of friends the first time around and left WDC for about five years. When I came back I made lots of friends & learned to write.

Nineteen years ago, I was between jobs and taking care of my elderly father, while at the same time trying to write my first novel. Sadly, I was writing it by the seat of my pants and ended up writing myself into a corner. Had to get rid of 150 pages!
So much for THAT novel!
