The group of members involved in Writing.Com's Documentation Project.
In an effort to continually be the best online writing community, Writing.Com Moderators and Staff have created this group and are in the process of compiling complete and thorough online handbooks. These manuals will be full of official site documentation explaining how the site works, how it can be used and so forth. There will be a Basic version and an Advanced version, and, in the near future, a handbook on Writing in general.

We are looking into the community to find valuable articles and how-tos that knowledgable members have already written. We know that there are many, many items out there that would be wonderful additions to the Writing.Com handbook and we would like your help in finding them. We are asking that you take a few minutes to look through your own portfolio for any items that you feel would benefit the community by appearing in our online handbooks (Basic Writing.Com, Advanced Writing.Com, or Writing in General) and consider donating the text for possible inclusion.

To donate an item, visit our survey form where you can submit the item's text only: "Writing.Com Documentation Submissions" Open in new Window.. We do not need your item(s) transferred to us, you will keep your item(s) in your portfolio and retain the rights to them. Your username and the item's original creation date will be placed at the bottom of the item's text within the handbook. We do reserve the right to edit the text as needed for the official handbooks.

Current documentation that is already available throughout the site will be added to the handbooks, but if you would like to see something else explained or even something current explained further, please let us know!
